Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. —Winston Churchill
Artist: Lon Eric Craven
Original painting: 24”x18”
Notice how the bubbles in back, representing the past, are so broken the cat has to hold its ears! Now the bubbles in front are so lovely the cat is trying to catch them! A lot of “slogans” say: “Never give in … Don’t quit … Never surrender … My parents taught me never to give up …”. These are all good values, but a much better value is to teach your children to keep going with enthusiasm. This poster conveys this uplifting message with warmth and humor.

We all long to belong. It’s always more fun to include everyone.

Artist: Eva Vagreti

All of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon —
instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today. —Dale Carnegie
Artist: Renee Dumont
Original painting: 24″x18″
Notice how the middle bird is trying to wake up and invite the sleeping bird to come outside. But the magically seductive dream keeps the bird captive. Dreams used wisely inspire us to action, used poorly, they incapacitate us with despair over unmet desires. Can you share with your child any time in life you were captivated by a dream that prevented you from enjoying life? What happened after you woke up? It’s good to share with children the pitfalls and the difference between dreaming/wishing life were different and using divinely inspired dreams to motivate us to action. Discussing this poster along with the poster of Mother Teresa’s dreaming quote can give your child valuable perspective.

No longer does it make much difference whether or not I have anything from the external world; I have learned to live by inward joy.
It is the most beautiful thing that life can offer. —James J. Lynn

In an age where almost every media image promotes happiness through self-consumption, we need more images promoting inner happiness.

Before embarking on important undertakings sit quietly, calm your senses and thoughts and meditate deeply. You will then be guided by the creative power of Spirit. After that you should utilize all necessary means to achieve your goal. —Paramhansa Yogananda
Artist: Renee Dumont
Poster size: 24″x18″
Many times adults assume children learn basic life lessons without being told about them. This can be true, but not always. Sitting still and connecting with Spirit before making big decisions is one lesson every child deserves to hear, even if it only applies later in their life. Showing this poster could help a child remember this message for when it’s needed.

When one door closes, another opens. But often we look so long at the closed door that
we do not see the one that has opened for us. —Helen Keller
Artist: Melani Pyke
Original painting: 18″x24″
Notice how three Budgies look longingly at the closed door. If they went out this door, they would have ended up in a storm and eaten by the cat! Only one Budgie has looked around to the open door leading to the garden and sunlight. This humorous poster is a great way to start a sharing conversation with your child. After you put it up and discuss the symbolism, share some experience(s) from your past where a door was shut to you, but in the end you found a better way to go. This poster can spark a deep, meaningful sharing with your child. Use the opportunity.
